This privacy policy applies to the JSON Assistant application (hereby referred to as “Application”) for iOS and macOS devices that was created by CoffeeDevs LLC (hereby referred to as “Service Provider”) as a Free service. This service is intended for use “AS IS”.

Information Collection and Use

The Application does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal information or data from users. The Application operates entirely on your device and makes no external network requests.

The Application:

• Does not collect any personal information
• Does not track your activity
• Does not store any data outside your device
• Does not use cookies or similar tracking technologies
• Does not transmit any information to external servers
• Does not require an internet connection to function

All JSON processing, formatting, and snippet storage happens locally on your device and remains completely private.

Privacy-First Design

JSON Assistant is built with privacy as a core principle:

Local Processing:

• All JSON parsing, formatting, and validation happens locally on your device
• No JSON data is ever transmitted to external servers
• No analytics or telemetry data is collected
• Your JSON data remains completely private and under your control

Data Storage:

• Saved JSON snippets are stored exclusively on your device using secure local storage
• No data is synchronized to cloud services
• All data remains within the Application’s secure sandbox

Share Sheet and File Access:

• When you use the Share Sheet to open JSON files, data is processed locally
• When you paste JSON or drop files, all processing is done on-device
• No files or clipboard data are accessed except when you explicitly initiate these actions

Features and Functionality

The Application provides the following features, all processed locally:

• JSON Input: Paste JSON text, drop JSON files, or open from Share Sheet
• Pretty-Printing: Format and beautify JSON with proper indentation
• Tree Explorer: Navigate JSON structure in an expandable tree view
• Snippet Management: Save and organize frequently used JSON snippets locally
• Theme: Warm, high-contrast sepia theme designed for comfortable viewing

All features operate without internet connectivity and without collecting any data.

Third Party Access

The Application does not share any data with third parties because it does not collect any data to share. The Application does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

The Application is distributed through:

• Apple App Store (for iOS)
• Mac App Store (for macOS)

These platforms may collect installation and update information according to their own privacy policies, but the Application itself does not participate in or have access to this data collection.

Data Retention Policy

The Service Provider does not retain any user data as none is collected. Any JSON snippets or settings you configure within the Application are stored locally on your device and can be removed completely by:

• Deleting individual snippets within the app
• Uninstalling the Application
• Clearing the Application’s data through your device settings

Children

The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. The Application does not collect any personally identifiable information from any users, including children.

Security

Since the Application does not collect, transmit, or store any user data externally, there are no security concerns regarding external data protection. All data remains on your device, protected by your device’s security features:

• Data is stored using platform-secure storage mechanisms
• Access to data is protected by your device’s security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID)
• The Application follows iOS and macOS security best practices

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
